Endangered Species and Stem Cells

This is an interesting article about stem cells. Apparently scientists are looking to use them to save animals as well as cure human disease. The scientists are working to turn stem cells from the white rhino and the drill (a monkey) into sperm and eggs to help repopulate the species. While these methods are being seen as a last ditch effort to save these animals if nothing else works it’s nice to know people are working on saving the endangered species of the world.

I just wonder when this stem cell idea will give way and be used to bring back extinct animals ala Jurassic Park.
